The Legistics racecar: notes from the track

The Legistics Ford Mustang Boss 302R competed as part of the Racers Edge Motorsports Team in the 2014-2015 IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge. Driver Nick Galante, in his first full season racing in a top professional series, finished an encouraging 10th out of 48 for the season. Racing against seasoned veteran drivers on tracks he had never driven on before, Galante overcame blown oil lines, crashes from behind, unscheduled emergency pit stops and extreme weather conditions to earn his right to race with the pros again next season.
In the meantime, there’s a lot of work to do. Racing requires drivers to be in peak physical condition. In addition to regular workouts, off-season racing and practice, and ongoing fundraising, Nick Galante teaches novice and aspiring drivers about the sport he loves. Coming to racing later than most professional drivers, Galante has a unique perspective to share: No matter how many obstacles you face, determination, skill – and timely collaboration – will help get you where you want to go.
