UCLA Check 2021 ret

Last week Racing to End Alzheimer's (and Legistics) founder Phil Frengs capped off the first leg of On the Road Again II: The Ultimate Tour for a Cure with a visit to our friends at UCLA's Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Program, where he presented them with a check for $40,250.

Dr. David Ruben, who heads the program, was grateful to receive the generous gift from our amazing donors, matched of course by Legistics.

But Dr. Ruben was also intrigued, and eager to get behind the wheel of the gorgeous BMW M8 convertible Tribute Car that Phil will be driving 9,000 miles across the country over the next 8 weeks. The M8 is being lent to us courtesy of BMW of North America, and with the help and support of our racing team, BimmerWorld.

The Tribute Car is covered with the same names of loved ones being honored on our race car — which, of course, isn't street-legal but which is decked out with identical graphics, names and hometowns.

The BMW M4 GT4 race car will appear next at Road America in Wisconsin on August 28, covered with additional names that are being added as Phil covers the country in this masterpiece of design and engineering.

Even the news media loves Racing to End Alzheimer's!

Thanks to all the wonderful folks who have added the name of someone they love — and helped push the effort to find a cure just a little closer to the finish line.
